Bathroom RenovatioN

Project Brief

The clients came to us wanting a renovated bathroom. This house is high above the ground on posts. The bathroom floor substrate was chipboard flooring and the floor joist were flexing under the weight of the tiles & old style spa bath. The first step was to remove all the tiles & chipboard flooring and upgrade the supporting floor joists.

We then installed compressed fibre cement sheeting as the new under tile flooring so we could waterproof, fit tile bed & tiles without worrying about movement in the floor to cause waterproofing problems down the track. We replaced the old spa with a free standing bath and floor mounted spout. The shower is an open style with no glass screen.

The vanity was custom made wall mounted with top mounted basin & wall mounted mixer tap & spout. The vanity has 4 drawers made to easily access everything inside. The drawers had to be made so they fitted tightly around the pipework.
